I’ve eagerly awaited this moment, one that fills me with immense pride. Beyond the exquisite gown lies a genuine soul—an actress whose impact has resonated with millions worldwide. She has been a beacon of comfort, stirred our emotions, and exemplified resilience in adversity. She confronts the “elephant in the room,” challenging norms and fostering open, vulnerable conversations that bridge understanding and empathy.

Constance, dressing you for this gala was an honor beyond words, celebrating not just Asian American visibility in Hollywood but also the broader aspirations of our community, of dreaming bigger and having open conversations. 

This gown, marked by its dramatic train, grand bow, laser cut diamonds, and sparkling gloves, required over 100 hours to bring to life. Yet, its significance runs deeper. Born from my debut eveningwear collection, Collection 3 — reverie, it was inspired by my first glimpse of Los Angeles from above during my first flight in middle school—a city ablaze with lights and dreams. Creating this piece was my homage to the audacious pursuit of dreams.
