Lily Gladstone Dazzles in ANDREW KWON at Irish Film and Television Awards styled by Jason Rembert.
Emerging Korean-American fashion designer ANDREW KWON proudly reveals his latest creation, a custom couture gown designed exclusively for actress Lily Gladstone. Lily graced the red carpet in Dublin at the 2024 IFTA Awards, honoring her exceptional performance in “Killers of the Flower Moon,” styled by Jason Rembert.
ANDREW KWON’s custom gown for Lily Gladstone stays true to the distinctive style that defines his brand. Drawing inspiration from the timeless allure of Old Hollywood, his dreams, the admiration along with respect for other cultures and the allure of the red carpet, the gown combines classic elegance with a modern twist, embodying the essence of ANDREW KWON’s vision.
Crafted in a rich silk black velveteen, the gown features meticulous hand draping and cross-linked silk charmeuse, accentuated by an elegantly draped shoulder sleeve. One of its standout features is a luxurious silk drape cascading gracefully from the back of the bodice, creating a captivating illusion of a cape.
Designed to celebrate Lily Gladstone’s outstanding achievements, the gown captures the essence of ANDREW KWON’s commitment to honoring the talent, artistry, and the concept of mastering timelessness.
Taking a closer look at the center of the gown features a symbolic hummingbird embroidery detail, inspired by its significance in Native American culture and Lily’s personal connection as her father’s name in Blackfeet is hummingbird.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Designer Andrew Kwon stated, “I am deeply inspired by not only Lily’s character in ‘Killers of The Flower Moon,’ Mollie Kyle, but I am also so proud of Lily’s pride in her heritage, identity, voice, style, talent, and cultural contributions, and it inspires me to continue to do the same.”
