ANDREW KWON Dresses Olympic Champion Eileen Gu for the Gold Gala in Los Angeles

This evening, at the Gold Gala in Los Angeles, Eileen Gu arrived in an ANDREW KWON gown, marking a striking red carpet moment for the Olympic champion, model, and cultural force at one of the most celebrated evenings honoring Asian Pacific excellence across entertainment, fashion, technology, and culture.

The look, from ANDREW KWON’s fifth collection, Aurora, was realized in layers of pink tulle sculpted into a dramatic, architectural silhouette balancing softness with grandeur. A clean, strapless bodice gave way to cascading tiers of voluminous tulle, unfolding into an asymmetrical high-low skirt with sweeping movement and dimension.

Ethereal yet commanding, the gown evoked a sense of modern couture romance while maintaining the sculptural precision synonymous with the house. The look was complemented by luminous glam by hair artist Rikke Gajda and makeup artist Alicia Martinez, and paired with silver slingback heels by Stuart Weitzman.

Designed and crafted within the ANDREW KWON atelier in New York City, the piece reflects the house’s signature dialogue between structure and fluidity, where couture craftsmanship meets contemporary femininity.

ANDREW KWON, one of New York’s most compelling emerging couture voices, continues to define a new era of American craftsmanship. With a growing presence spanning red carpets, editorial features, and runway presentations, the house has garnered recognition for its refined balance of modernity and timeless elegance. Since founding his namesake label in 2021, Kwon has emerged as a creative force at the intersection of art and fashion, with each collection exploring femininity through a lens of emotion, movement, and individuality.

“Eileen embodies such a rare balance of strength and elegance,” says Andrew Kwon, founder and designer of ANDREW KWON. “We wanted this look to feel ethereal and expressive, while still carrying a sense of confidence and presence. There’s a sculptural drama to the piece, but it still moves with lightness and softness in a way that felt deeply aligned with her.”
